Ingredients

1 large head of cauliflower (approx. 1.5 lbs / 680g), chopped into medium florets

1.5 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp fine sea salt

1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

(Optional finish) 1 tbsp lemon juice or 2 tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

Prep the Cauliflower:

Wash the cauliflower head thoroughly and dry it completely with a clean towel. Chop into bite-sized, uniform florets so they cook evenly.

      Preheat the Air Fryer:

Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.

          Season:

Place the florets in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then add the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss well until all florets are evenly coated.

              Air Fry:

Transfer the seasoned cauliflower into the air fryer basket in a single layer (do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary). Air fry at 390°F (200°C) for 12 to 14 minutes.

                  Shake Halfway:

Pull out the basket and shake it at the 6-minute mark to rotate the florets for even browning and crispiness.

                      Serve:

Transfer the hot cauliflower to a bowl. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over top or sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired, and serve immediately!

                          Notes

                          • Oil Swap: Replace olive oil with avocado oil or melted ghee for a higher smoke point and rich flavor.
                          • Flavor Profile Variations: Swap garlic powder and paprika for curry powder & cumin for a warm Indian-inspired flavor, or taco seasoning for a Mexican twist.
                          • Cheesy Alternative: Replace Parmesan cheese with nutritional yeast for a dairy-free, vegan cheesy option.
